Tiny Reflections

When is the last time you ordered nachos? I hardly ever go to a Mexican restaurant, but when I do, I am happy with the basket of fried tortilla chips and salsa, then I want to get right to a good main course. But for some reason I am craving a big plate of nachos today. I might go out and just order that with a cold drink before it gets too late to find anyone still open.

At least back in the day the cars all had personalities. The cars of the 1950-2 and 1960-s all had style. You need a Ford from a Chevy just from looking at the grill or the fins. You knew that a car was hot and expensive from the style, the accessories, the whole package. Now all the cars look alike. You can barely tell what maker is producing them and the colors are either white, black or tan and a handful of red ones. Its so hard to find hot new colors and anything with flash. We need to spiff up the cars and put out some good stuff. People don’t want boring cars.

Most days I get a quick breakfast and its nothing special. Like a cup of coffee and a Poptart. Or maybe a doughnut, or a bowl of cereal and milk. But sometimes I like a traditional big breakfast. Its just hard to get a complete good breakfast past 9:00 am most days. So tonight I decided to make breakfast for dinner. I went all out – bacon, pancakes, scrambled eggs and grits. That was a nice change – just wish I didn’t have to be the one cooking it.

We may be stuck with a bunch of incompetents in Congress right now, but we can sure start voting them out, a few more each year. We have to vote and we have to make some big changes. These past couple of weeks are totally unacceptable.
